
Falcons Win as Flores Sets and Ties Records

Justin Flores had 4 RBI's, setting a Kelowna Falcons single-season record as the Falcons defeated the Wenatchee AppleSox 12-8 on Wednesday night at Elks Stadium.
Flores grounded out in the 1st inning to set the record, then added a 2-run homerun and an RBI double to finish 2-3 with 4 RBI's.
His 3rd inning homerun also tied him for 1st in Franchise history with 7.
Kelowna actually trailed after 2 innings in this one when the AppleSox jumped ahead 2-1 in the top half.
The Falcons extended it to a 5-2 lead in the 5th as Joey Crunkilton homered with Flores aboard.
After Wenatchee made it 5-3, the offense exploded for 7 runs off of Kyle Blankenship. Flores had his RBI double, Vinny Esposito hit a 3-run homer, while Lane Lacrone had an RBI triple and Grant Meylan drove in a run as well when Kelowna sent 11 men to the plate.
Wenatchee made it interesting late off of the Falcons bullpen, but Dalton Blackwell shut it down late for the 12-8 win.
The Falcons will look for the series and season series win against the AppleSox on Thursday night, when the first 150 fans get an autographed Falcons baseball. First pitch is 6:35.
