Falcons Set to Host Second Ball Hockey Challenge

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today they will host their second Ball Hockey Challenge of the off-season when they take on the Westfield Youth Hockey Coaches on Thursday, June 25 from 6:30 - 7:30 pm at the outdoor rink at Amelia Park in Westfield.

The Falcons team will once again consist of members of the front office staff and some Falcons Alumni. Former Falcons forward Scott Daniels is scheduled to be in the lineup, along with former Falcons broadcaster and current St. Louis Blues radio voice Chris Kerber. The Westfield Youth Hockey squad will be led by organization president Bobby Jacques and his fellow coaches.

"The first game we had was a huge success and we are excited to host another fun evening," said Falcons President and General Manager Bruce Landon. "Westfield Youth Hockey supports us very much throughout the hockey season and we can't say thank you enough to Bobby Jacques and his coaches for their help in so many different areas."

Admission is free to the public, but all individuals attending are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the team's local food drive.

The Falcons are currently accepting deposits on full, half, and partial ticket packages for the 2009-2010 season, in addition to 40 and 10-Flex Packs. For more information please contact the Falcons office at 413-739-3344.
