The Kelowna Falcons were unable to score more than 3 runs on Saturday night as they fell 4-3 to the Walla Walla Sweets at Elks Stadium, ending their 5-game winning streak.

Things looked good for Kelowna early on in the 1st inning when Justin Flores drove in a pair with a double to the left field gap.

The Sweets tied the ballgame up in the 4th inning with two off of Curtis Taylor, who dropped to 2-2 with the loss. Taylor worked 6 innings for the Falcons, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits. The other run came in the 6th.

Walla Walla would go up 4-2 in the 7th inning on a questionable play at first base. Max Carter appeared to have gotten his heel back on the bag before the runner after initially coming off, however Myles Hager was ruled safe. Billy Clontz would get ejected for arguing the call.

The ejection of their head coach fired up the Falcons as Andre Jackson hit a solo homerun to put Kelowna within 1 in the bottom of the 7th inning.

That was as close as they would get, as Joe DeMers would get the next 6 outs and shut down the Falcons offense, as they fall to 20-9 on the season.

Brady Miller will go to the mound Sunday at 6:05 in the rubber match, where the Falcons will look to bounce back and take the ball game and the series. Come out and play Bingo at the Ballpark with Chances!
