Falcons Assign Clemente to CHL's Mavericks

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons, AHL affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced on Sunday that they have assigned goaltender Mike Clemente to the CHL's Missouri Mavericks.

The transaction narrows Springfield's roster down to 31 players (18 forwards, 10 defensemen, three goaltenders) as the club looks ahead from the preseason toward the start of the 2012-2013 campaign.

The Falcons finished off their exhibition slate with a 2-1-0-0 record, earning victories in home games this weekend by scores of 4-3 against the Worcester Sharks on Friday and 4-1 over the Providence Bruins on Saturday.

Springfield commences the regular season this Saturday, Oct. 13 when it hosts the St. John's IceCaps at the MassMutual Center at 7:00 p.m. to begin its 19th AHL campaign.

Single-game tickets to see the Falcons in the 2012-2013 regular season are on sale now and can be purchased at the MassMutual Center 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by logging onto Ticketmaster.com.
