St. John's IceCaps News Release

CLARENVILLE - The St. John's IceCaps have made some roster moves in advance of today's final exhibition game in the Mary Brown's Cup.

Defenceman Jake Marto and forward Joey Sides have been reassigned to the Colorado Eagles, the IceCaps' ECHL affiliate.

Goaltender Tyler Plante, defenceman Ryan Donald and forward Josh Lunden were released. The moves leave the IceCaps with 36 roster players as they prepare for the final game in the three-game exhibition series with the Syracuse Crunch. That game will be played 2 p.m. this afternoon at the Clarenville Events Centre.

St. John's opens the 2012-13 regular season next Saturday in Springfield against the Falcons. The club's first home game is scheduled for Oct. 19 against the Adirondack Phantoms.
