Extreme Sign Qb Ronnie Simpson, Wr Almonzo Banks, And Db Ray Lewis

Bloomington, IL (December 15, 2008) - Bloomington Extreme are proud to announce three new players have been signed today for the 2009 IFL season.

Ronnie Simpson, Almonzo Banks and Ray Lewis have all been signed to play for the 2009 IFL season for the Bloomington Extreme.

QB Ronnie Simpson (5'10", 185) played college football for New Mexico Highlands. He later went on to play for the New Mexico Wildcats, so he has indoor experience.

"Ronnie Simpson is an outstanding playmaker," Head Coach Kenton Carr said.

WR Almonzo Banks (6'1", 220) has had a lot of experience playing team sports. He was drafted out of high school to play baseball in the minor leagues. After four years he went back to college and played at West Liberty State College. While playing at West Liberty, Banks was named National Player of the year in 2007.

"Almonozo is a very physical receiver who is also an outstanding blocker," Head Coach Carr said.

DB Ray Lewis (6'2", 220) played football for Hampton University. This will be the first stint of Indoor Football for Lewis, but he has been involved in the Buffalo Bills training camp and has had numerous private workouts with different NFL teams.

"Ray Lewis is a wrecking machine who loves to hit! We are very lucky to have him and will be great to watch," Head Coach Carr said.

"We think we are becoming the premier indoor football league," Head Coach Carr explains. "With all of the high quality players that we have this season, it is sure to make the league very competitive and entertaining for everyone. We cannot wait to get started!"
