Extreme plans Fan Fest March 22

Bloomington Extreme indoor football officials announced plans Friday for its second annual Fan Fest on March 22 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

Extreme fans will have the opportunity to watch the team scrimmage, meet the players after the two-hour practice session and scrimmage, and get autographs and pictures with their favorite players, and purchase the new-line of Extreme merchandise at the team store. Doors for the event open at 6:30 p.m. There is no charge to attend.

Extreme head coach Ted Schmitz also announced his team will hold its first of three scrimmages Saturday (March 17) beginning at 4 p.m. at Game Time Gym on Bloomington's east side. Other scrimmage dates are March 22 at 7 p.m. at U.S. Cellular Coliseum and March 24 at 4 p.m. at Game Time Gymnasium

"We feel good about the progress of our team in the first week of practice," said Schmitz, whose squad opened training camp March 9. "But we're also anxious to see where we are at in a (one-hour) scrimmage setting.

"It will be interesting to see how the guys who have never played in an indoor setting will respond. They need to get a feel for the elements. We feel good about where our defense is, but we still need another week of work with the offense because we are putting in a new system."

Fans will also have the opportunity to buy single-game and season tickets or at the Fan Fest. Single game tickets are priced at $10 (upper end zone); $12 (end zone); $18 (sideline); $25 (club - section 101 only); $30 (premium) per game.

Season tickets for all eight homes games are priced the same as last year with premium seats (rows A and B all around the Coliseum) $200 per ticket; Club seating (only section 101 is available) $200 per ticket; sideline seating $120 per ticket; end zone $85 per ticket; upper end zone $70 per ticket.
