Extreme nominates three for honors

Lamar Baker, Steve LaFalce and Quince Holman have been nominated by the Bloomington Extreme coaching staff for Player of the Week honors in the United Indoor Football League for offense, defense and special teams.

Baker, a defensive back, led the team in tackles for the second straight week. He had eight solo tackles and three assists for 9.5 tackle points. The 5-foot-9, 195-pounder ranks first in the UIF in tackle points with 20.5 for an average of 10.2 per game.

LaFalce made his UIF debut at quarterback in the second half of a 41-33 loss at Ohio Valley. He completed 8 of 13 passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns. Holman was nominated as the special teams' player for blocking a field goal attempt.

The Extreme returns to action Saturday with a 7:05 p.m. contest against undefeated RiverCity at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. The first 3,000 fans will receive Extreme t-shirts, compliments of ServPro.
