
Raptors Sign New Crop of Players

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rock River Raptors of the United Indoor Football (UIF) league announced today that they have signed three new players: WR Ed Reed, WR Maurice Talton and K Doug Daniel. They are also in contract talks with a fourth, OL Chris Loos.
Reed comes to the Raptors with experience in both the af2 and NIFL. He was also in camp with the Minnesota Vikings (NFL) in 2003.
Talton, from C.W. Post College, will join the Raptors for his first season of professional football.He is originally from New Hope, MN.
Daniel, a Northwood University product, joins the team after spending time in camp with the Fort Wayne Fusion (af2). He spent the 2006 season with the Fort Wayne Freedom where he was 20-of-53 on field goals and 37-of-44 on extra points.
Loos is an offensive tackle from the University of Nebraska. During the 2006 season he spent time with the Omaha Beef. Prior to his time there, he played with the Lincoln Capitols in the NIFL.
