Akeem Greenfield, 6'2" 230 lbs. - Linebacker from Fordum University was a two year starter in college and last played with the Sioux City Bandits of the IFL. Greenfield compiled 38.5 tackles and 3 sacks as a member of the Bandits defense.

In 2009, Payton was a late season signing with the Abilene RuffRiders of the IFL. He compiled 196 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns while helping the RuffRiders to the franchises first post-season victory.
"Kegler is an enormous man that moves well. With Kegler (6'5", 360 lbs) and Springfield (6'8", 340 lbs offensive lineman, signed by the Extreme January 7), our offensive line will be one of the largest in the league. Both guys are very athletic considering how big they are. They both pass protect well and are able to move people out of the way." Head Coach Kenton Carr continued, "With Bernard and Speedy, we add depth and speed to the running back position that as an organization, we have lacked in the past. With running backs Derrick Brown, Bernard, and Speedy in the backfield along with Luke (Drone) and the wide receivers we've compiled, we have a lot of offensive weapons. As a coach, I'm looking forward to the opportunity of working with this unit and look forward to providing our fans with an exciting brand of football."
The Bloomington Extreme will play seven home games at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in 2010. The regular season kicks off March 6 at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum as the Extreme will host the expansion Richmond (VA.) Revolution. The 2010 Extreme finished with a 10-5 record, making their third straight playoff appearance in the franchises four year history. Season Tickets are on sale now, call 309.434.2658.
