Kannapolis, NC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, lost 7-6 in 10 inning to the Kannapolis Intimidators on Wednesday night.

The GreenJackets took the early lead 1-0 in the second inning after a single by Orlando Garcia scored Ryan Kirby. The GreenJackets would add another one in the fourth inning, when Kirby knocked in Heliot Ramos. Both times the Intimidators would respond with a run in the bottom of the inning. With the score tied at two, Tyler Frost would give the Intimidators a one run lead with a solo home run.

With the score still 3-2 in the eighth inning, the GreenJackets would tie the game after Logan Baldwin singled to left field to score Rob Calabrese. Then in the ninth inning, the GreenJackets would add three more runs to take a 6-3 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning. The Intimidators would not quit as they answered with three runs in the inning.

In extras, the GreenJackets didn't put up a run in the top of the 10th inning. This opened the door to the Intimidators who quickly walk-offed with a single into right field.

GreenJackets will be back in action tomorrow at 7:05 pm against the Intimidators.

After the seven game road trip, the GreenJackets will once again be home against the Intimidators. Promotions include our last Thirsty Thursday, along with College Football night. Friday we will have an Auggie Bobblehead giveaway for the first 1,000 fans. Saturday we will have a fireworks show and our SweetWater 90s themed jersey.
