
Extra Innings Victory for 'Sox, 7-6

EVERETT, Wash. - After falling behind Spokane in the top of the sixth, the AquaSox tied the game twice, winning the game 7-6 on a walk-off walk in the tenth inning.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Brennon Kaleiwahea crushed his first career home run in the fifth inning, followed by an RBI double hit by Patrick Frick, giving the AquaSox a 2-0 lead. Spokane surged ahead of the 'Sox in the sixth inning, scoring three runs.
Frick doubled again in the top of the seventh, driving in one run for the Frogs. After hitting an RBI single and advancing to second on the throw home, Connor Hoover scored on a Spokane throwing error, tying the game, 5-5.
After stranding a runner in the bottom of the ninth, the game went into extra innings. Derwin Barreto tagged up on a deep fly ball to right field, scoring Spokane's sixth run of the game. A Spokane fielding error allowed Cesar Izturis Jr. to score, tying the game again, 6-6. Spokane pitcher Nick Starr walked Robert Perez with the bases loaded, forcing in the AquaSox' winning run.
WRAPPING IT UP
At the plate, the Frogs registered 13 hits, including three doubles and one homerun. On the mound, Kelvin Nunez started, pitching five scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Travis Kuhn closed the game, striking out one batter.
LOOKING AHEAD
Up next, George Kirby, Damon Casetta-Stubbs, Trent Tingelstad and Patrick Frick will be heading to Boise, Idaho for the All-Star Game against the Pioneer League. On Thursday, August 8, the Frogs return to action in Vancouver, British Columbia, for a three-game series against the Vancouver Canadians.
