
Extensive Positive Upgrades to RailHawks 2016 Game-Day Experience Announced

CARY, NC - The Carolina RailHawks will kick off their 10th anniversary season by launching a brand new and enhanced game-day experience for home games at WakeMed Soccer Park. Fans can expect a game-day experience on and off the field like never seen before in North Carolina professional soccer history. 2016 home games will feature an attack-minded RailHawks roster with an incredible mix of immensely talented players who have strong North Carolina ties, combined with top-class, exciting players from throughout North America and the world.
In addition to witnessing North Carolina's best professional soccer team on the field, fans will have the opportunity to enjoy an enhanced game-day experience prior to, during, and after the game. The following is a summary of "What's different with the RailHawks game day in 2016?":
Significant ownership commitment to upgrade talent on roster and day-to-day player development and environment.
- Investment in scouting, analytics, match analysis and technology for the purpose of enhancing team performance at home and on the road.
- Hiring of additional full-time and part-time coaches and technical support staff.
New South Stand Supporters Section, which will showcase our very own Triangle Soccer Fanatics and Oak City Supporters groups.
One dollar from the purchase of every ticket bought in the New Supporters Section will go to fund materials which will enhance the environment in the Supporters Section (smoke bombs, confetti, tifo materials, etc.).
New "Far Post Beer Garden" featuring a covered area with lounge couches, a foosball table, a portable EA Sports FIFA 2016 station, and other fun games. Local craft brews will be available, including special RailHawks-branded Lonerider Kupono Captain's Ale for only $3. The "Far Post" will be in close proximity to the Supporters Section and will be a gathering point for all fans looking to celebrate and socialize.
New RailHawks-branded signage inside and outside of the stadium.
Enhanced concessions services including in-seat food and beverage service for new on-field seating and a new beer cart in the south concourse next to the Far Post Beer Garden.
Free Wi-Fi in the stadium for a better digital fan experience (completion expected in coming months).
New RailHawks fan app targeted for release in April.
New plan to shorten entry and exit times, with more police traffic management/presence and coning of lanes.
Better management of parking and in-facility traffic patterns due to more staffing and upgrades to flow and placement of traffic personnel.
VIP Field-Level Seating.
New high-quality complimentary RailHawks Match Day Guide that is game specific and has a $1,000 cash sweepstakes winner every game, RailHawks and opposing team and player information, etc.
Enhanced use of our high-quality video board.
New wireless mobile camera that will enable more behind the scenes team and player videos and in-the-stands fan videos to be featured during the game day on the video board.
New "Duck Donuts Family Zone" with soccer-specific activities, face painting, and inflatables.
Enhanced season-long pyrotechnic and fireworks plan.
In an effort to promote safe driving and a more enjoyable game-day experience, the RailHawks will also introduce their "Fan Bus" this season. Fans will have the opportunity to kick off their pre-game activities in style, travel safely to and from WakeMed Soccer Park without worrying about parking costs, get pumped up before the match, and enjoy the party with other dedicated fans. The RailHawks Fan Bus will be free of charge and will make stops in downtown Raleigh and Cary.
More professional merchandise display and larger selection of RailHawks offerings.
Fans can expect to see the revamped RailHawks game-day experience on Saturday, March 26th when the RailHawks host 10-time Mexican Champion, Toluca F.C., in an international pre-season match.
