Round Rock Express News Release
FRESH START: The Express start the second half of the season tonight in a tie for first place. The Texas League divides the season into two halves, with the champion of each half advancing to the post-season playoffs.
Round Rock begins the second half in El Paso, with a four-game series against the Diablos. The Express then return home for an eight-game homestand that starts on Monday. For a complete look at game times and promotional information go to http://www.rrexpress.com/rr-schedule/.
FRESH FACES: The Express will also begin the second half with many new faces on the roster. Former Express stars Nick Roberts and Santiago Ramirez have been added to the pitching staff, and OF/IF Jacques Landry was an offensive addition at the end of the first half. Landry, who hit 36 home runs for Midland two years ago, hit a home run in his first game for the Express.
Travis Wade, James Lira and Ramon German were released by the Astros.
