Express roster grows with Oliver

September 5, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Jersey Express News Release

NYC native Jonathan Oliver has signed on for the upcoming 2006-2007 season. Jonathan resides in Manhattan, NY, and is excited about the opportunity to play for the Newark Express.

Jonathan graduated from Norman Thomas High School in NY, where he played from 1995 to 1996. He attended Ventura Junior College from 2000 to 2002, and was then recruited by USC, where he played from 2002 to 2004.

"Standing 7', Jonathan will bring a presence to the team that was lacking last season...size. The team was undersized for most of the season last year, and it was important for us to address that issue early on. Coach Moore states, you can't teach size".

"I'll bring rebounding and a shot-blocking presence to the team. I'm excited about working with Coach Moore; his experience in the pro's will help me with my game, and maybe give me a chance to fulfill my dream. Coach told me what he expects from me, and I can't wait for camp to begin, stated Oliver".

To register for the final try-out on September 16th, or for more information on the Newark Express, log onto www.newarkexpress.com or e-mail Coach Moore @ rmoore@newarkexpress.com or call 973 586 0006.
