Round Rock Express News Release

ROUND ROCK - With just over six weeks remaining before the start of its 10th Anniversary Season, the Round Rock Express finalized Friday the details of the Intel Club, the newest addition to The Dell Diamond.

The 4,000-sqaure-foot club is part of a $3.5 million Green Initiative renovation and expansion project for the Express, which will open up its 10th season against Iowa on April 9. Along with the Intel Club, other additions include sun shading on the first and third base sides of the stadium, a third-tiered press box, upgraded suite level restrooms, a suite and press level elevator and expanded wireless internet service.

"The 2009 season is a special one for us, and particularly for the relationship we have with our fans," said Express president Jay Miller. "Our fan base has been loyal to us through nine seasons and we wanted to give them a place where they could not only entertain their guests, but where they could also socialize and watch the game. The Intel Club is an affordable, first-class way to do that."

Access to the Intel Club is complimentary for suite guests, $75 per season for season ticket holders and $10 per game for regular ticket holders. Group and hospitality service options are available for the club.

Set for completion the first week of April, the Intel Club will feature sweeping views of the stadium from the second level behind home plate, 13 flat panel televisions with Direct TV, Time Warner cable and in-game feeds, themed buffets, stained concrete flooring and industrial ceilings, stylized seating areas, a permanent and a portable bar, additional outside seating and complimentary wireless internet access.

In addition, the newly constructed Tower Entrance near the home plate entrance will feature concierge services for suite, season-ticket and Intel Club members. The tower will house an elevator to provide access to the suite and club level as well as the updated press box, which has been shifted up, making The Dell Diamond a three-tiered stadium for the first time.

"As the years have gone on and our fan base has expanded, we've seen the need rise to assist fans with their experience," said Round Rock founder and CEO Reid Ryan. "By adding a second elevator for suite holders, season ticket holders and Intel Club members, we're able to enhance The Dell Diamond experience and make it more convenient and enjoyable for everybody."

Up to 70 percent of the materials used by Round Rock-based Chasco Constructers in specific areas of the project are recycled from existing parts of The Dell Diamond, including steel beaming, wiring and bricking.
