
Expos disable RHP John Patterson, Recall RHP T.J. Tucker from Edmonton

The Montreal Expos today placed right-handed pitcher John Patterson on the 15-Day Disabled List with a right groin strain and recalled right-handed pitcher T.J. Tucker from Triple-A Edmonton. Vice President and General Manager Omar Minaya made the announcement.
Tucker makes his return to the majors since going 2-3 with a 4.73 ERA in 45 games (seven starts) for Montreal last season. The 25-year-old was 2-0 with a 4.50 ERA in four starts for Edmonton at the time of his promotion.
Patterson, 26, was acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks for left-handed pitcher Randy Choate on March 25. In four starts for the Expos, Patterson is 1-2 with a 3.57 ERA, striking out 21 batters in 22.2 innings of work.
