Chico Outlaws News Release

As the first round of cuts have been made, opening day is right around the corner. With just three days left before the season opener on the road in Tucson, Arizona, the excitement for the 2009 campaign mounts.

The Outlaws will take the field at Nettleton Stadium on this coming Tuesday evening. In their one and only exhibition game, Greg Cadaret's squad will face off against the College All-Stars, a wood-bat summer collegiate team from the Bay Area.

The exhibition game will begin at 7 p.m. Cost of admission will be $2, taken at the gate with no tickets being printed. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Butte College baseball program.

The home-opener for the 2009 GBL season will follow less than a week later. Monday, May 25th, come celebrate Memorial Day at the ballpark as the Outlaws will square off with the defending GBL champion Orange County Flyers in town for a three-game set. First pitch flies at 7:05 p.m. Good seats remain available, and can be purchased online at chicooutlaws.com, over the phone (530)345-3210, or by stopping by our downtown office (308 Salem Street).

Help us "Fill the Nett" on opening night, as the Outlaws kick-off their fifth season of play in the Golden Baseball League.
