
Armada wrapping up training camp

Long Beach Armada News Release
LONG BEACH, Calif. (May 16, 2009) -- The Long Beach Armada is less than a week away from the season-opening series, and the team is using two scrimmages against the rival Orange County Flyers as the final tune-up. Manager Garry Templeton and his coaches will be making their final cuts after this upcoming week's two games.
Fans are welcome to come see either game and get a sneak-peek of the 2009 Armada:
May 18 at 1 pm vs. Orange County Flyers (at Fullerton College) May 19 at 1 pm vs. Orange County Flyers (at Cal State Dominguez Hills)
The Armada kicks off its 2009 season on the road May 21 with a 4-game series against the Calgary Vipers at Foothill Stadium. All games will be broadcast online via Teamline live.
The Armada opens at home on Friday, June 12 at 7:05pm against Yuma. Opening Night will feature a magnet schedule giveaway presented by DirectBuy of Long Beach as part of the St. Mary Medical Center Opening Weekend.
