Buffalo Silverbacks News Release

Buffalo, NY. Exemplifying the "Do Your Best, Never Quit" philosophy employed by the organization, the ABA Buffalo Silverbacks professional basketball team has donated 500 game tickets to Variety, The Children's Charity of Buffalo and Western New York. The tickets will be used on Variety's prize wheel at their Erie County Fair fund raising project. Proceeds from the event will benefit Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo, Robert Warner Rehabilitation Programs and other charities.

In a letter to Dr. Richard L. Jacob, Coach/GM of the Silverbacks, Stephen J. Podosek, Project Coordinator for Variety's Erie County Fair event wrote: "It is because of people like yourself and the Buffalo Silverbacks that we are able to continue our fine work and make life better for Variety's special kids."

"Do Your Best, Never Quit" is the title of the life development seminars that the Buffalo Silverbacks have been performing throughout the Western New York community. With the support of Creditors Interchange, the team has performed more than 50 of these seminars teaching the children of WNY to focus on the effort they apply to a situation and not the result.
