ABA changes Red, White and Blue Concert from country to rock
August 11, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. Due to a scheduling conflict of country artists with the move of the first Red, White and Blue Concert to Little Rock, Arkansas, the initial concert has been changed from country to a major Rock & Roll Show as part of a Summer Jam Tour. Featured artists will include:
All 4 One (all original members)
"I Swear" "I Can Love You Like That"
Jeff Timmons (founding member of 98 Degrees)
"I Do" "Hardest Thing" "Because of You"
PM Dawn (all original members)
"Set Adrift on Memory Bliss" "I'd Die Without U"
Dan Miller (from O Town)
"All or Nothing" "Liquid Dreams"
Bryan Abrams (lead singer of Color Me Badd)
"I Adore Me Amor" "All for Love"
These groups have sold over 100 million records worldwide and had over 25 Top 20 records on the charts. Paul Allsup, concert promoter said, "We really tried to do this one up right for all the fans. This should be a really great show and we are so excited to be bringing The Summer Jam Tour to the ABA for our very first concert for the league. Our goal is to knock your socks off."
"We are also trying to bring "The Rich Little of Country Music," Mr. Johnny Counterfit and hope to have the exciting new Danielle Hester there too - both are fabulous talents and will add much to a great concert," added Allsup. The concert will be Saturday, September 9th at the Barton Coliseum at the Fairgrounds in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The ABA Little Rock River Catz players will be there to take photos and meet the fans before the concert. Tickets are $35 & $45 and will be on sale Monday morning at the Barton Coliseum Box Office at the Fairgrounds and also at all local Ticket Master locations Monday morning, August 14th at 8am. Be sure to get them while they last - as they should go quickly. For more information, email paul_allsup_2000@yahoo.com or visit www.abalive.com.
