JACKSONVILLE, Fla. â The Jacksonville Suns will return home to the Baseball Grounds on Thursday, May 6, for a four-game homestand against the Huntsville Stars with a jam-packed list of promotions for the weekend.
The Blues Brothers make their first appearance at the Baseball Grounds on Thursday, May 6 for a 7:05 p.m. start. This traveling act has been entertaining fans for years and are sure to be a crowd favorite once again. It's also Thursday Night Throwdown. Buds are only a buck! Thursday is sponsored by Budweiser and Planet Radio 93.3.
The Suns will host the annual Scouting in the Outfield on Friday night. All scouts in uniform will get a commemorative patch and after the 7:35 p.m. game against the Stars, scouts will be invited onto the field to camp out, sponsored by Arrow 100.7. A midnight movie on the videoboard will follow the NAPA Friday Family Fireworks.
On Saturday night, the first 3,000 fans will receive a free Suns Sports Bag, sponsored by Frank Griffin of Orange Park and Comcast. The Suns will also be hosting the Cowford Children's Carnival for the American Cancer Society before the game.
Sunday marks the end of the short homestand with a special Mother's Day Visor Giveaway. All moms will get a free Suns visor, compliments of Kuhn Flowers and Lite 96.1 FM. A special ticket offer is available at Kuhn Flowers for today's game! Plus, the Suns will host a Kids' Clinic on the field from 1:30 to 2:30 and all kids in their baseball or softball uniforms will get admitted into general admission for $1.50. After the game, Kids can run the bases, sponsored by Solantic.
Tickets for the Suns entire opening homestand and all season long are currently available by calling the Suns ticket office at 358-2846 or by ordering online at www.jaxsuns.com. Season tickets, group nights and limited sponsorships are still available.
