EVERETT, WA: On Sunday at Funko Field, Everett and Hillsboro combined for 26 runs on 27 hits as the AquaSox dropped the final game of the series 14-11. For Everett, Robert Perez Jr and Dariel Gomez each had three hit performances.

Scoreless through two innings, Hillsboro was able to get to Everett starting pitcher Bryan Woo in the top of the third inning when Deyvison De Los Santos hit a two-run home run to left field. In the Sox half of the inning, Trent Tingelstad barreled up a fastball 375 feet to right centerfield, his second long ball of the year. Everett scored five runs in the third as Perez Jr added an RBI single and David Sheaffer cleared the bases with a three run double.

Perez Jr kept the momentum going in the bottom of the fourth inning with a three-run home run that gave Everett a commanding 8-3 lead. Since being promoted, Perez Jr is hitting .429 and has eight RBI's in only six games.

The lead would unfortunately not last long as Hillsboro rallied back off Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Diego Castillo, who was in town on a MLB rehab assignment. Hillsboro would tie the game 8-8 in the top of the fifth inning after a two-run single by AJ Vukovich.

Tied at eight, Gomez gave Everett the lead back in the bottom of the sixth inning with a mammoth 411-foot home run to right field that drove in three runs and gave Everett the lead back 11-8 lead. The exit velocity of the home run was 108 mph.

Hillsboro rallied late in the game scoring a pair of runs in each of the last three innings for the win, giving the Hops the series five games to one.

Everett has the day off on Monday before they head out on a six-game road trip against the Tri-City Dust Devils. The Frogs will be back at Funko Field on August 16th for the start of a 12-game homestand against the Vancouver Canadians and Spokane Indians.
