Evansville Travels to Tennessee Valley, Ramon Robinson Player of the Week

Evansville BlueCats News Release
The Evansville BlueCats (5-4) are set to begin a three game road trip in the month of June with a trip to visit the Tennessee Valley Raptors (2-6) in Huntsville, Alabama. Kickoff will be Saturday night at 7:30pm at the Von Braun Civic Center.
This weekend's game against the Raptors will be the third meeting between the two teams this season. The BlueCats won both of the previous meetings. In Week One, Evansville claimed an exciting 53-51 victory and backed it up in Week Nine with a 48-24 win. Both games were at Roberts Stadium.
Last Saturday, the BlueCats lost 39-28 to the Peoria Rough Riders.
Evansville Quarterback Ramon Robinson was named UIF Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Peoria game. Robinson completed 16 of his 35 passes for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Evansville BlueCats Head Coach Ollie Guidry said, "Ramon's mental toughness and experience provided the team with leadership through some of the challenging times we've faced these last couple weeks. His performance last weekend versus a tough Peoria football team was indicative of the hard work and effort he's put in this season."
Currently the BlueCats sit in second place in the UIF South Division, a half game behind Lexington (6-4).
Tennessee Valley was idle last weekend. The Raptors last played two weeks ago on May 21st when they were defeated 58-47 by the Lexington Horsemen. Tennessee Valley is in third place in the UIF South Division.
Coach Guidry said, "It's never easy going against a team for a third time in a season. We can only do so much schematic wise and so can Tennessee Valley. It's going to come down to who makes the best plays and has the best performance. We've had a good week of practice and so we feel good about our chances."
