Fort Wayne Freedom News Release
FORT WAYNE - The Fort Wayne Freedom could capture their first ever division title this weekend. Couple a Ohio Valley loss to Peoria Saturday night with a Freedom victory over Omaha, the red, white and blue would earn United Indoor Football's Midwest Division crown.
The combination of a Freedom win and an Ohio Valley loss would give the red, white, and blue the division title. The magic number is now at two with six games left in the season for both Freedom and Greyhounds.
That number is determined by using the total number of games plus one, subtracting the Freedom wins and Ohio Valley loses. (That is, 15 Ohio Valley games +1, subtracting 9 Freedom wins and 5 OV losses, that makes the magic number 2.)
Plenty of great seats remain for Sunday's game with Omaha. Kickoff is at 4pm. Tickets are available at the Coliseum box office, through www.ticketmaster.com, or by calling 424-1811.
