EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Evansville Otters are excited to announce their 10th annual exhibition game to benefit Jacob's Village, a local non-profit residential community serving adults with disabilities.

The tradition started back in 2005 with all ticket proceeds going to Jacob's Village. Throughout the nine year history of the game, the Evansville Otters have raised more than $125,000 to benefit Jacob Village.

"We're happy to partner with Jacob's Village again this year," said Otters president Bill Bussing. "It's an opportunity for us to fine tune our operation, both on and off the field, while raising money and awareness for such a worthy local charity."

The game will be played between the Southern Illinois Miners and the Otters on Friday, May 8. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. at Historic Bosse Field. Tickets may be purchased at Bosse Field, at all Evansville area Ritzy's locations, and at Jacob's Village. Tickets are $5.00 for general admission $7.00 for reserved seats.

There also will be a Diamond Dash directly following the 7th inning, sponsored by Tracy Zeller Jewelry. Twenty-five (25) women will be selected to go on the field and "Dash" to the player or mascot they think holds the $1,000 Tracy Zeller Jewelry Shopping Spree.

"This year marks the 10th annual Otters exhibition game totaling more than $125,000 in donations to Jacob's Village," said Kathy Knapp, Executive Director of Jacob's Village. "The Evansville Otters dedication to Jacob's Village helps ensure we continue to have a community where people with disabilities and older adults can find housing that is affordable and accessible, and access to the support they need to live independently. We are very grateful for our long-standing partnership."

Jacob's Village is a non-profit organization dedicated to the mission of developing a safe, walkable neighborhood community where people with disabilities and older adults can find meaningful relationships, housing that is affordable and accessible, and activities that encourage active minds and bodies.
