Etihad Player of the Month: Thiago Martins Claims July Award

New York City Football Club defender Thiago Martins has collected the Etihad Player of the Month award for July.
The 27-year-old joined NYCFC earlier this year from Yokohama F. Marinos and has grown into the side since his move from the J1 League.
In July, the Brazilian was again a mainstay of the side as he played every minute in MLS and helped the team collect 13 points from a possible 15 available.
His combination of speed, technical ability, and defensive steel make him a formidable defender and helped him forge an impressive partnership with Alex Callens that saw them keep four straight clean sheets.
Everyone at the Club would like to congratulate Thiago on his award.
