
Ethan Workinger Named Southern League Player of the Week

COLUMBUS, GA., - Minor League Baseball announced today that Columbus outfielder Ethan Workinger has been named the Southern League Player of the Week for April 28-May 4. The honor marks the first weekly award in Clingstones history.
Workinger batted .364 (8-for-22) with a double, four home runs, nine RBIs, and a 1.372 OPS over five games against the Biloxi Shuckers at Synovus Park. His standout performance included a historic game on May 1, when he launched three home runs - including a grand slam - and drove in eight RBIs. Both marks are Southern League single-game highs so far this season.
The honor marks the first weekly award of Workinger's professional career and his second overall accolade. He was previously named an Atlanta Braves Organization All-Star by MiLB.com in 2023
Workinger and the Columbus Clingstones will be back in action with a six-game series against the Birmingham Barons May 6-11 at Synovus Park.
