FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 16, 2012) - Robi Estrada blasted a two-run homer in the second inning to lift the Charlotte Stone Crabs to a 3-1 victory over the Fort Myers Miracle on Wednesday at Hammond Stadium.

Alejandro Torres laced a hit into center field with two down in the second off of Jhon Garcia, setting up Estrada, who launched a home run to right to put the Stone Crabs up 3-0.

Jairo Perez cut the deficit to 3-1 in the third when his infield single allowed Angel Morales to score, but the Miracle could not generate any more runs. Their best chance came in the fifth when they loaded the bases with one out, but Perez popped out to shallow right and Oswaldo Arcia lined out to deep left to end the threat.

Fort Myers stranded 10 runners.

Albert Suarez (2-2) pitched six innings and allowed one unearned run on his way to picking up the win. Jim Patterson pitched two innings of scoreless relief and Chris Rearick collected his eight save by pitching around a two-out single by Daniel Santana in the ninth.

Garcia fell to 0-5 despite pitching five innings and allowing just three hits and three runs. Edgar Ibarra pitched three scoreless innings and Matt Hauser pitched out of a jam in the ninth without giving up a run.

Robby Price put the Stone Crabs on the board in the first inning when he scored from third on a passed ball.

Santana, Morales and Daniel Ortiz each collected two hits apiece for the Miracle.

The Miracle (15-24) travel to Brevard County for a four-game series starting Wednesday at 6:35 p.m. Join the "Voice of the Miracle" Brice Zimmerman at 6:15 p.m. on miraclebaseball.com.
