ESPN Radio KIKR 1450AM Is The New Flagship Home of the Texas Wildcatters

BEAUMONT, TX (August 4, 2004) – The Texas Wildcatters Hockey Team is pleased to announce a new partnership with Cumulus Broadcasting, Inc., ESPN Radio. All 72 games of the 2004-05 Texas Wildcatters season will be broadcast live on the team's flagship station, The Ticket, KIKR 1450AM.

"The Ticket KIKR 1450 AM is proud to team-up with the Wildcatters organization, they have been a great addition to the Southeast Texas community," said Mark Guzman, Promotions Director for Cumulus Broadcasting, Inc. "We are excited to be promoting local sports in Southeast Texas."

In addition to the live broadcasts on The Ticket KIKR 1450AM, each home and away game will include a pre-game and post-game show. Fans can listen to all the action whether the puck drops in Charlotte, N.C., Pensacola, Fla. or a game in Biloxi, Miss. Jason Shaver will return for his second season of Wildcatters play-by-play.

Each Monday night during the season, The Ticket KIKR 1450AM will also feature the "Wildcatters Weekly" live from the West Bar and Grill. This hour-long show will include insights from coach Robert Dirk, players, ECHL representatives, as well as fun promotions and questions from fans in the audience.

"This agreement is an excellent way for the Wildcatters to promote hockey throughout the area and allow our fans to enjoy all the action of our games whether we are playing home or away," said Jena Armondo, vice president of business operations for the Texas Wildcatters. "Live game broadcasts and our weekly show on The Ticket KIKR 1450AM will give us additional exposure to sports fans in the area."

Season tickets for the 2004-05 season are now on sale. For as little as $50.00, you can reserve your seat for the second year of Wildcatters hockey in Southeast Texas.
