Real Salt Lake News Release

SALT LAKE CITY - ESPN700 AM Program Director Bill Riley today announced that Salt Lake's #1 Sports Talk Radio - and the home of University of Utah athletics and Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer - will now be 100% "Live and Local" from 11a-7p Monday through Friday with a format adjustment.

"The Bill Riley Show" kicks off today with a daily three-hour block from 11a-2p, as Riley - play-by-play voice of the Utah Utes football/basketball, as well as that of RSL - examines the issues of the day affecting sports across the Wasatch Front.

Riley's show will be followed by "O'Connell & Stubbs," as former Ute football player and active MMA fighter Sean O'Connell continues to hold down the afternoon drive spot on ESPN700 from 2-6p, where he will now be joined by comedian, actor and radio personality Keith Stubbs. Named "Best Morning Personality" on eight occasions by the Utah Broadcasters Association, Stubbs returns to ESPN700 after a one-year hiatus.

"I am very excited to welcome Keith Stubbs back to the ESPN 700 Family and look forward to the challenge of moving to middays," said Riley, a 15-year Salt Lake-area radio veteran and the 2015 Sports Broadcaster of the Year in the state of Utah. "This move will give us a great local presence throughout the day and more consistency in the afternoon drive slot, while also allowing me more time to focus on the growth of ESPN 700 in my Program Director duties."

The daily slate adjustments - following the national shows from ESPN (Mike & Mike, 4-8a) and The Dan Patrick Show, 8-11a) - allow ESPN 700 to broaden its market-leading, University of Utah and Real Salt Lake coverage, while further expanding other local sports offerings and horizons.
