Eskimos Make Transactions

(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimos have re-signed national linebacker Doug Parrish and international wide receiver Jamill Smith and signed international defensive back Nick Taylor.

Parrish appeared in four games this past season, his first in the CFL, for the Green and Gold and recorded two special teams tackles.

Smith appeared in five games this past season, his first in Edmonton, and returned five punts for 220 yards and eight kickoffs for 201 yards. In four CFL seasons, Smith has appeared in 30 games and has returned 126 punts for 1100 yards and 60 kickoffs for 1231 yards, as well as eight missed field goals for 250 yards and one touchdown.

Taylor spent the previous two seasons in Ottawa where he appeared in 17 games and recorded 63 tackles, one interception, which he returned for a touchdown, and one forced fumble.
