IFL Nebraska Danger

Eric Thomas Breaks Loose for 4 TD's, Named Danger Player of the Week

Nebraska Danger News Release

GRAND ISLAND, NE - After a banner year for the Nebraska Danger in 2018, this season has been slow-going for standout wide receiver Eric Thomas - until Saturday.

Thomas burst back onto the scene and to the forefront of the IFL, hauling in three TD receptions and returning a kickoff 50 yards for a Danger score to start the second half in Nebraska's 53-47 upset of the Tucson Sugar Skulls.

It's been a long-time coming for Thomas. Through the team's first five games, the star wideout caught 16 passes for 140 yards and four TD's. He nearly matched the yardage and TD mark in his last game, however, pulling in six catches for 104 yards and three TD's.

The showing comes at a great time for the Danger, who have now evened their record at 3-3 on the year and are about ready to embark on what some are calling the revenge tour in the next couple of weeks. The next two games will both be played against the Green Bay Blizzard, who has been a thorn in Nebraska's side for some time now.

Dating back to last season, the Blizzard have won the last three meetings between the two teams, with the most recent being a heartbreaking 53-52 loss for the Danger back on March 1. With Thomas and quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. finding rhythm, the Danger look to be bringing a different type of squad to Green Bay than they did back in March.

Kickoff for the game is set for 7:05 p.m. in Green Bay, and you'll be able to watch the showdown live on the IFL's YouTube page.

Tickets for the 2019 Nebraska Danger Football Season are on sale through the Heartland Events Center Ticket Office, Ticketmaster.com, or through your local Pump and Pantry Locations. For more information, visit dangerfootball.com.
