Elmira Enforcers News Release
It took some time, but the Enforcers tallied their first win as an FHL franchise. New blood coming in and out of the lineup is to be expected in the Federal Hockey League and it played a huge part tonight. Cal Miska and Stepan Timofeyev both played their first game in an Elmira Enforcers uniform and tallied multi point nights.
Elmira struck three times in the first period in a span of 2:04 to jump ahead 3-0 over the Prowlers. Starting with a power play goal from Glen Patterson the Enforcers and then two quick strikes from Sean Reynolds and Kyle Stevens the Enforcers left the ice in the first period satisfied.
The second period would take on a very different feeling as the Prowlers struck just :46 seconds in on a Matyas Kasek tally. Things were even more complicated when Matt Graham brought Port Huron to within one on a shorthanded goal at 7:37. Fortunately the Enforcers took all of :20 seconds to rebound and toss in a power play goal of their own Sean Reynolds second of the evening.
The third was a quick play period as the clock didn't seem to stop moving. Dmytro Babenko talled the Enforcers third power play goal on the night at 5:35, before Dalton Jay put up Port Huron's first power play tally 1:01 later. Elmira would close it down at 12:05 with a Cal Miska goal, his fourth point of the night after assisting on Patterson and Stevens' goals in the first and Babenko's goal in the third.
The Enforcers are back in action tomorrow night against the same Prowlers at 7:00 pm at McMorran Place. Their next home game is Friday, November 16that 7:05 which is also their home opener. Less than 500 tickets remain for that game! Get on to tickets.com or ElmiraEnforcers.com to secure yours now!
