Enforcers Sweep Dashers in 2 Game Set
December 1, 2018 - Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL)
Elmira Enforcers News Release
The Enforcers came out on Saturday looking to sweep the weekend after a 6-1 victory on Friday night. That was exactly what happened over the next 60 minutes as the Enforcers tallied another six goals against the second place Dashers.
Dale Deon tallied just 5:06 into the first period off a Cal Miska faceoff win that he ripped over the shoulder of Matt Kaludis. It took another five minutes and 46 seconds, but the Enforcers replicated the exact goal on a JT Walters goal that opened the flood gates. Deon would tally his second on the same five minute man advantage before Mitch Atkins scored his first goal as an Enforcer with six seconds left in the first period.
The second period got off to a very similar start as Marko Novosel tallied just 2:13 into the frame off a Mitch Atkins feed to give the Enforcers a 5-1 lead. Danville would fight back and score one in controversial fashion as players piled into the net at 4:57 of the second, but couldn't capitalize on that.
In the third a late power play allowed Dustin Henning a ripper past Troy Passingham at 12:55 to bring it as close as 5-2, but Mike Chemello's answer at 16:39 put the final nail in the coffin for the Dashers as Elmira swept the weekend 6-2.
The Enforcers are back in action Friday December 7thagainst Carolina at 7:05 at First Arena. Call 607-734-PUCK for tickets today.
