ELMIRA, NEW YORK - The day has finally arrived! All the hard work from the entire CAN-USA Sports and Elmira Enforcers staff will be on display. Long days that went from 5am to 10pm -7 days a week will be on display as First Arena opens the doors for professional hockey for the first time in over a calendar year!
Many major projects were done including:
A total cleaning of the ENTIRE building
3 Ice plant compressors were rebuilt
32 roof leaks were repaired
Over 200 ceiling tiles were replaced
A lot of dry wall was replaced
Doors were repaired
Fire systems were replaced
Inside the scoreboard was replaced
Outside marquee was repaired
The sound system was rebuilt
Cameras were rebuilt and fixed
Walk in coolers were repaired
Hockey glass was replaced
Rec rink floor was replaced
Purchased a new intercom system
And a lot of painting has been done

Robbie Nichols said. "This weekend a dream becomes a reality as a two-year-old hockey player is going to watch HIS pro hockey team take the ice for the home opener. I will see you all at First Arena! I know my dad will be watching."
The Enforcers home opening weekend starts at 7:05 pm tomorrow Friday November 16that First Arena against the Carolina Thunderbirds. Less than 300 tickets remain for that game!
