Reno Silver Sox News Release
In the final road game of the season, the Reno Silver Sox lost game two of a two game set in Fullerton Friday to the Orange County Flyers by a score of 6-3 at Goodwin Field.
The Flyers jumped out to a 3-0 lead after 2B David Bacani doubled in a pair of runs in the second inning.
The Sox got on the scoreboard for the first time in the third inning when SS Sam Walker singled in 3B Chuck Sidlinger.
They would score twice more in the eighth inning, one of the runs came when 2B Mike Done hit a solo home run. But that would be all the offense the Sox would see.
OC starter Reed Dickert held most of the Sox bats in check, going seven innings allowing only one run.
Reno starter Chris Saenz did not fare as well, pitching six innings and surrendering five earned runs.
The Sox face the Chico Outlaws for the final series of the year against their rivals starting Saturday night at 7 PM. The first 500 fans through the gate receive a pack of Silver Sox baseball cards.
