Encode Media Group to represent ABA in US

November 1, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Detroit, MI. Encode Media Group, LLC has entered into an agreement with the American Basketball Association (ABA) to represent the ABA's media interests in the US. Encode CEO, Arvell M. Jones, expects the new relationship to be the beginning of some very exciting things for both Encode and the ABA. "Whenever a press release like this comes out there is always a quote about how one party is excited to be working with the other. It may be a cliche, but all of us here are very excited about working with the ABA," said Jones. "This is a legendary organization and our minds are just bursting with creative ideas of how to bring the ABA into all of the broadcast media available today."

Led by comic book legend and entepreneur, Arvell Jones (one of the first African-American comic book creators to work on mainstream books for both Marvel and D.C. Comics and an early pioneer in the internet having co-founded two internet companies with such clients as MSN, Corvette Racing, GMAC and OnStar). Encode has worked with such national companies as Lions Gate, Alienware Computers, and CoLours TV, Marc Buchanan Pelle Pelle, ADV Films, The Urban Music Association of Canada (UMAC) and others.

Encode's mission will be to identify potential partners for the ABA, including television, cable, satellite, broadband networks, video on demand (VOD), Pay per View services, Internet Protocol Services (IPTV), Mobile, wireless, broadcasters, narrowcasters and streaming video services as well as potential sponsors, advertisers and strategic partners (production units, personalities, licensing companies and their agents).

"We are very pleased and excited to be working with Encode (the cliche again)," said Joe Newman ABA CEO. "Our recent deal to bring the ABA to CoLours TV was an example of Encode's hard work and vision and from discussions I've had from Arvell. I see great things in the future for the ABA, our fans - and of course, for Encode."
