
Elmira Stumbles in Glens Falls

Elmira began a three game road trip in Glens Falls against the Eastern Division leaders, the Glens Fall Golden Eagles.
The Pios jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first on an RBI groundouts by Justin Lacy and Ryan Normoyle sandwiched around a Logan Uxa single.
Glens Falls quickly retaliated with a five run first, highlighted by a Mike Kendall 2 run double and a 2 run single from Kyle Ruchim.
The Golden Eagles built their lead to 8-4 through 5 innings before the Pioneers kickstarted their offense, scoring 2 in the sixth and a run in the eight on a Corey Keller solo homerun. But, the Pios could get no closer as Glens Falls added an insurance pair in the bottom of the eigth to close out their 10-7 victory.
The Pioneers return home Sunday July 10th for a 6:05 start. Tickets are available in advance from Jubilee Foods at 2898 Westinghouse Road, Horseheads.
