November 24, 2020 - Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL)
Elmira Enforcers News Release
The Elmira Enforcers of the Federal Prospects Hockey League are proud to announce they have acquired four new pieces through the Delaware and Motor City dispersal draft. The Enforcers selected Goaltender Aaron Taylor, Forward Evgeniy Demin, Forward Aaron Cook-Smith, and Forward Adam Kuhn.
Taylor, a 23 year old Goaltender out of Gormley, ONT Canada, played last season in Delaware starting 40 games with a .902 save percentage after spending the previous two seasons in Danville where he had a .920 and a .914 save percentage. Aaron was a large part of Delaware's late season surge as they battled for a playoff spot and was impressive whenever he faced Elmira in the past.
Demin, a 22 year old forward from Moskva, RUS, played 43 games with the Thunder last season posting 47 points with 13 goals and 34 assists. Evgeniy played the previous seasons in Belarus before coming to the FPHL last season with Delaware.
Cook-Smith, a 24 year old forward, was selected in the final round of the Delaware dispersal draft. Aaron had 3 goals in 3 games with Delaware along with 9 penalty minutes.
Kuhn, a 31 year old forward from Southgate, Mi, last played in 2011-12 with the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the SPHL before signing this season with Motor City. Adam had 6 goals and 7 assists for 13 points with 106 penalty minutes in his final season and posted 1 assist with 14 penalty minutes in 6 playoff games that year.
Enforcers owner Robbie Nichols was very pleased with the draft and told media members "We are a very deep team, but when you look at what happens during the course of a season you can never be too deep. Bringing on additions like Demin, Cook-Smith, and Kuhn all add something to our lineup and Taylor has been solid against us. This gives us three solid goalies coming into camp and we are very excited to see that battle."
