JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Karl Ellison homered and Aidan Anderson shut the door as the BlueClaws held off Brooklyn 3-2 on Sunday at ShoreTown Ballpark.
Aidan Anderson, who has not allowed an earned run in 14 innings this year, shut the door to earn his second save. Matt Russell (1-4) earned the win, allowing two runs over six innings of work.
Ellison's home run tied the game in the fifth. Jersey Shore took the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning when Casey Martin grounded into a double play with runners on the corners, allowing Johan Rojas to come in an score.
Tyler McKay threw a scoreless seventh and Jonathan Hughes a scoreless eighth in the win.
Rojas and Rixon Wingrove each had two hits for Jersey Shore in victory.
The teams split a six game series.
Jersey Shore heads to Hudson Valley where they play a seven-game series in six days beginning Tuesday. The teams will play a Wednesday double-header making up a game rained out on May 7th in Lakewood.
