The Bend Elks (13-6) pitching staff played a big part in the win as Taylor Elman picked up the win in the start, going 5 and 1/3 innings, giving up 2 runs, 1 earned, on 5 hits while striking out 1 in earning his 3rd victory of the summer.

David Murrillo came on in the bottom of the 6th and after an error by Cullen O'Dwyer committed an error in the 6th, the Knights had the bases loaded with 1 out. Murrillo relied on his curveball to strikeout both Gabe Clark and pinch hitter Gus Craig in the 6th, escaping the jam. David, from Lewis-Clark State, would retire 8 straight in his relief appearance while striking out three.

Tanner Ring pitched a scoreless 9th to earn the save, his second of the season. Ring and Murrillo combined to retire 11 of the final 12 Corvallis hitters that came to the plate, the only blemish coming on a 2 out single in the top of the 9th.
