June 26, 2013 - West Coast League (WCL)
Kelowna Falcons News Release

The Kelowna Falcons won one and lost one in Tuesday's doubleheader with the Walla Walla Sweets. In game one the Falcons would dominate in a 12-1 victory, before falling 6-1 in game 2.

In the first game of the twin bill the Falcons had their best offensive game of the season collecting 12 runs on 16 hits. Nolan Johnson would lead the club with a perfect 4-4 night with three RBIs, while Grayson Porter finished 3-4, collecting a double, a run scored and an RBI.

On the bump Nolan Savage won his second consecutive game tossing six innings allowing one run on five hits while striking out seven.

After the Sweets homered in the top of the second inning to take the lead, the Falcons exploded for five runs on four hits in the bottom of the inning. Johnson, Cody Andreychuk and Joe Robbins each had RBI hits.

The Falcons would then score in each inning until the end of the game. They scored one in the third, two in the fourth, three in the fifth and one more in the sixth.

Game two of the doubleheader was a complete flip flop from game one. The offense would collect eight hits, but score just once.

Like in the game one the Sweets would score first in the second inning, off starter Jason Mouton. They would score another in the top of the third before the Falcons finally answered. Stetson Olson would bring home Joe Robbins for the team's lone run.

The Sweets would go onto score three more in the fourth to record the split. Olson had the lone multi-hit game finishing 2-4 with an RBI.

The Falcons and Sweets will play the rubber match on Wednesday night at 6:35pm. All gate admission will be donated to the BC Fire Fighters Burn Fund. Marc-Andre Habeck is the scheduled starter for the Falcons.
