Elks Miscues Lead to Another Road Loss

Elks fielding woes contribute to another Elks loss on the road in Medford Tuesday night. Four Elk errors lead to two unearned runs. That along with eight Elk runners being left on base, contributed to the Bend Elks 4-2 loss to the Medford Rogues Tuesday night at Harry and David Field in Medford. Starting pitcher Michael Bennet took the loss after throwing five strong innings,giving up six hits and two earned runs. Elks errors added two unearned runs, one each in the fourth and fifth innings, leading to the loss for Bennet.Reliever Cory Mack took over for Bennet in the seventh inning and finished the game giving up only one hit to Rogue batters. Medford starting pitcher John Forsythe got the win after pitching six innings giving up six hits, while only striking out two Elks batters.

Right fielder, Landon Frost was the bright spot in the Elks line up as he doubled and scored in the fifth inning and singled in the sixth. Game three of the four game road series will take place at Harry and David Field in Medford Wednesday night. First pitch at 6:35 PM with Tris Reisfar calling the action at bendelks.com .
