Bend Elks News Release
The Bend Elks could not endure all that went wrong for them at Kiger Stadium on Sunday, as 7 errors ultimately proved to be their demise, falling to the Klamath Falls Gems 6-3.
In a game that featured an hour and 10 minute weather delay, 3 catcher's obstruction calls, an Elks hitter called out on runner interference, and countless other issues for the Elks, it was simply too much to endure for the Elks, who dropped their 2nd straight game, and 3 of 4 in the series with the Gems.
Jared Priestley took the loss for the Elks in his first West Coast League start, Jordan Copeland was the leader offensively, going 2-5 with a Solo Home Run in the 5th inning.
Elks return to action Monday against the Kitsap Blue Jackets, first pitch at 6:35.
