The Bend Elks fell flat against the Bellingham Bells on Friday, accounting only 2 runs on 5 hits and falling to the Bellingham Bells 6-2.
Travis Radke got the start and took the loss for the Elks, but the final line score did not reflect Radke's pitching. Radke threw 6 innings, giving up 5 runs on 6 hits, walking 2 and struck out 5.
Grant Newton delivered a pinch hit RBI single in the top of the 9th inning to drive in a run, Bo Walter and Darian Ramage each had 2 hits for the Elks, who dropped their 2nd game in a row.
The series will resume between the Elks and the Bells Saturday, first pitch at 7:05.
