
Elks Fall to Bellingham 8-1

The Bend Elks dropped the final game of the three game series to the Bellingham Bells by the score of 8-1 Sunday afternoon at Joe Martin Filed. The only run platted by the Elks was in the 4th inning when Jon Brooks scored on a Jake Peeveyhouse RBI single. The Bells got all the runs they needed in the 5th when Elks reliever Clay Bauer gave up a grand slam home run to Bells first baseman Scott Heath. Bauer took the loss.The Bells managed to get one run in the 7th and 2 more runs in the 8th. The elks are now 3-3 on their longest road trip of the year. Bend heads to Victoria, British Columbia Monday to take on the Harbour Cats for the final 3 game series before returning to Bend on Friday night.
