Bend Elks News Release
The Bend Elks dropped their third straight game in Medford Wednesday night by a score of 2-1. Elks starting pitcher Austin Guzzon took the loss, but had his good stuff throwing four and two third innings, giving up just four hits and the only two runs scored by the Rogues. Kevin Sheets and Jordan Wilcox finished the game on the hill, pitching a combined three and a third innings giving up no hits or walks, while striking out three Medford batters. Rogue starting pitcher,David Peterson got the win.
In the Elks batter box, Kenton Brunson led off the fifth with a double and scored Bend's only run on a Nick Lopez single. After being plagued by errors and unearned runs in the previous two games, the elks committed no errors Wednesday night. Bend will try to avoid the sweep of the four game series by the Rogues Thursday night at Harry and David Field. First pitch is at 6:35 PM and can be heard live at bendelks.com.
