Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release
The El Paso Diablos won the final game of the series Thursday at Fair Grounds Field as they defeated the Shreveport Sports 8-5 and took the series two games to one.
The Sports got off to a fast start scoring five runs in the second inning off El Paso starter Chris Flanagan. After that, the Sports could get nothing going while the Diablos scored four runs in the third and tied the game with a run in the fourth. El Paso catcher Ben Rosenthal gave the Diablos the lead with a solo home run in the fifth inning and they added two insurance runs in the sixth.
Shreveport will start an eight-game road trip Friday at Ft. Worth with a four-game series with the Cats and continue on to El Paso for four games before returning to Fair Grounds Field on June 27th to start the second half of the season against Ft. Worth.
