WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Sea Bears of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced today that forward EJ Anosike has decided to pursue an opportunity to play on the Nigerian National Team and will be leaving in advance of the Sea Bears' playoff game on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Canada Life Centre.
While the Sea Bears are disappointed to learn of Anosike's decision to depart the team, we respect his choice and are confident in the depth of our roster as we remain focused on the goal of winning the 2023 CEBL Championship.
